Welcome!
With 25 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to work with your child. I taught in public education for approximately 20 years, more than half in the area of special education. I held credentials in English Language Arts (K-12), Elementary Education (K-8 all subjects), ML (ELL English Learners) and Special Education (mild/moderate) K-21. I attained national boards and a MA in Special Education from the University of Washington. My undergrad and teaching credential program came from California State University, Los Angeles.
I have a passion for utilizing evidence based practices and educational coaching approaches fit to your child’s needs.
As a special education teacher, I was known for my great advocacy skills. Most new special education teachers leave after the first few years. With more than a decade of experience with all sorts of cases, I am able to provide guidance, support and an understanding to your child’s individual needs. Whether you are not sure where to start in the journey of finding your child support, whether you have been working on getting support for 18 years or if you are new to your child’s diagnosis and learning needs, I am able to lend guidance and impactful support.
